Distance by road from Victoria at the southeast tip to Port Hardy at the northwest tip is approximately 500km (312.5 miles).  In addition to many high quality roads for sport riding and touring, there are hundreds of well-maintained logging roads for dual-sporters to explore.

1. Hwy 28 Campbell River to Gold River & Muchalat Inlet
The best sport road on Vancouver Island, but watch out for tax collectors.

Great road, varied scenery, from old growth forest, to open valley to mountain twisties.  Traffic can be heavy in the summer.

2. Hwy 8 Merritt to Spences Bridge
Absolutely the best short sport ride in B.C when ridden east to west.  Start with gentle sweeper cruising with the turns getting tighter and tighter until the road finally spits you out at Spence's Bridge.

Very light traffic, good road and mile after mile of long sweepers.

The best long sport road in B.C. ... light traffic, twisties, hairpins, straights ... it just keeps going and going.  Fantastic in both directions!
